Greetings from Winnipeg, Canada

This is a great website (Kudos to Jan, my cousin, and to Mike Demkowicz), and contains a lot of information about the village, and families from Dobra Szlachecka.

I am a descendant of Aleksander Hryckiewicz Stalony Dobrzanski, c.o.a. Leliwa (b.28. 03. 1835, d. 24.11.1882), and Pelagia Niesiewicz Dobrzanska (b. 11. 05. 1837, d. 24.04. 1916). They both were born, they died, and were burried in Dobra Szlachecka. I am their great-great-grandson.

My Father, John Pankewycz (Pankiewicz), was also born in Dobra Szlachecka (b. June 22nd, 1941, d. June 1978) to Michael (today is your birthday, Grandpa, All Saints' Day), and Justyna ( b. 1904) Pankiewicz.

Two of eight siblings immigrated to Canada at the end of the 1940's, three followed in the early sixties.
